Staves,notes

• Mar 15, 2017 - 17:28

Dear Sir,
I have couple questions, please advise.
1.I have a score and I am sending you sample of it. Please see at Attachment.
Please advise how to add rests under a note (as shown under note F in the first measure) similar as on my Attachment.

2.Staves.
How to add the staff between 2 existing staves, I mean for example I missed one staff and want to add in between 2 staves.

3.If I need to move to another music sheet after I filled the first sheet with music (another words, to add new sheet for continuing).
Thank you.
Best regards,
Mark

2. If you want to add an entire staff then press the i button and it will bring up the add instruments dialog. You can add another instrument, click it and press the up arrow to move it where you want. If you want to add an additional staff to an instrument like the piano, then click the the words Staff 1 and click add staff, this will add another staff to an instrument that takes multiple staves.

3. When you get to the end of the page add additional measures using the Add > Measures menu item (the shortcuts are listed there). MS will automatically add a page for you at this time. If you have measures after the current measure and simply want to have the remainder start a new page you can insert a page break in that measure using the Breaks & Spacers palette.

1. I have nothing that will allow me to view a .doc file on my computer so I can't see what you mean, but you probably need to use a second voice explained here https://musescore.org/en/handbook/voices

To enter the rests you missed see attached file and https://musescore.org/en/handbook/voices.

You can select the rests in your example in the inspector as not visible, but this shouldn't be the right way, the rests in voice 1 should be in opposite to your example visible.

Btw: There seems to be a bug of overlapping rests/notes between voices. You can correct this with the inspector via changing the vertical offset (before: select a rest, right click->select-> more...->same voice; then changing the offset)

For chord symbols (I know not your question see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/chord-symbols)
