Hemiolas Beams
I have this bar NOT FOUND: Screen Shot 2017-03-22 at 8.26.49 AM.png We are in 6/8 time but this bar is a hemiola so I would like to beam the lonely 1/8 or quaver if you will to the 2 1/16 notes before it. I am referring to this page https://musescore.org/en/handbook/beam and NOTHING I TRY does what I want. According to the manual if I select the 2nd 1/16th and then double-click the "DO NOT end a Beam with this note" icon it should beam it to the next note but it doesn't. Tried everything I can think... I've been tripped up in Muse Score before by doing the right thing slightly wrong and I've looked in the forum can someone please tell me EXACTLY click by click how to do this. OK obviously I don't understand how to do inline either although I read the doc for that too, but a screenshot of the bar in question is uploaded you can see it below. Thank you!!!

Try the "Beam middle" icon
What does the "DO NOT end a Beam with this note" icon refer to? The second item in the palette, "beam middle," should work.

You need to apply the middle beam to the 1/8th note.

Thank you that did it. The doc was not 100% clear on that. :)
