How do you spread the bars out so the lyrics can fit under the notes

Comments

Do you mean spread horizontally or spread vertically? The former is addressed by adjusting Stretch and the latter by adjusting Lyrics top margin, Lyrics bottom margin, Lyrics line height or - for just a small section of a score - by using a Spacer.

If the measure is too narrow after you enter the lyrics into the measure for increasing the stretch to give you enough room, then I suggest (in page mode) to add line breaks before and after the troublesome measure so fewer measures will be on the line with it. This will cause all of the measures on that line to stretch out and take up the entire line. Continuous view may still look a little crowded, but page view can be made to look good.

Generally everything should space itself automatically as you add the lyrics - both horizontally and vertically. If you are finding this not to be the case, best to attach your score so we can see what is going on and advise further.

Hello,
I am new to Musescore. I do not know how to write large, easy to read notes or large staves.
I would like to have 4 measures per line of music.
Can someone give me a few tips about these topics?
