insert a note
Apologize for such simple question.
I have a melody of e.g. "c d e".
I did not find a possibility to modify it to "c cis d dis e"
Could someone give a clue?
Niels

if you select the note and press an arrow, up raises it 1/2 step and down lowers it. You can also use the toolbar at the top.
While entering notes, you can press c (up arrow for sharp), d (up arrow for sharp), e and you will get your notes.

Thank you for your answer.
Actually the whole score is ready, but in one system a note is missing. That means that at the end of the system a whit spot appears. So my problem is not changing notes, but inserting a note between two existing ones. If I select "note input" and move the cursor over the notes, It adds only notes as chords of existing ones.

You are going to have to cut from the first note you want move to the end and the paste it to make space for the missing note. There is no insert mode.
You want to insert the c# and the d#? Musescore does not have an insert mode, just an overwrite mode.

OK, in that case I have to re-input the whole staff. That works indeed. Thanks.
Nevertheless I think that it might be a good idea to program the possibility for inserting notes.

You don't have to redo the whole staff. If you want some numbers of notes to be moved later in time - just the next note? the next two notes? the next twelve? the next four hundred? only you can possibly know! - then simply use cut and paste to move them later, as mentioned above.
