Built on Linux 64 bit.
Currently I export to ly, run frescobaldi and convert to SVG as text is then editable in Inkscape.
Exports from Musescore direct do not allow direct editing of text.

MuseScore 1.2 is exporting text as text and not as path and so Text are editable. Unfortunatly, users complained about this, since the MuseScore fonts are not installed on the system and so the fonts might be missing in Inkscape.
I guess the best way to solve this issue would be to offer a preference to export text as path or not.

Hello, maybe the font for notation could be rendered as path, but the font for text items (title lyrics etc) could be exported as text. That way even if the musescore font for text was not installed in the operating system Inkscape would just use a substitute font. Maybe two options - text to path and notation to path (with help link re potential font substitution)? Text export also has advantage of producing much smaller file size.
