Tuplet Beam Connection Help

Hi all!

I'm trying to connect the beams on a 1/8th note tuplet as shown on the attached image.

I've tried to:
1. edit the beams (palette)
2. add additional 1/8th notes and hide change visibility
3. combine to a six tuplet and connect via beam properties/change visibility

I've about exhausted my options and was wondering if there's a known method around this auto config.

Nothing particular here. Just select the first 16th of the tuplet and double click the "middle beam" button in the palette. Be sure that the 8th and the 16 are in the same voice. See attached file.
