How can I turn off the limitation on beats per measure?

• Apr 18, 2017 - 01:19

If I want to move a set of chords or a run of notes to an earlier place in the measure, I have to redo all the work? I feel like I'm wasting 75% of my time redoing things, and I'm losing my artistic ideas by the time I get it fixed. Any suggestions? Do I just use noteworthy composer instead?

Moving notes is easy - use cut and paste, just as you would in many other programs. Select the range of notes you wangt to move, Ctrl+X, click where you want to move them to, Ctrl+V. No need to redo your work.

The following version also includes a swap command; which should make these moving-things-within-a-measure lots easier.
1. Cut the part to be moved
2. Select the destination and use the Swap command
3. Put position back at where (1) was cut
4. Paste the swapped contents into place
