Leftmost Barline and Ossias
Right now there's a simple problem with ossias as currently implemented.
As you can see, while I can get the ossia to look almost perfect, there's this lingering left barline at the beginning of the staff. With general style settings, I can have this removed entirely. I don't want it removed entirely- I want it to only span 2, not 3 staffs. Using two piano instruments does not work, since it does not remove this line.
So, my feature request is so that we can somehow edit this starting barline as to make it not span across every single staff, without removing it entirely.

This is implemented in master, so will be in the next major version of MuseScore

The master would apply to 3.0 because this change would lead to compatibility problems with 2.1 and 2.0.

So we're talking several months if not a year into the future.
Well, that's disappointing. I mean, I completely understand, but still. Just means that this piece will have to remain unpublished until 3.0.

3.0 won't come out before the GSoC2017 and the code is incorporated into the master, that will have to take some time. so my wild guess is more than a year for 3.0 to come out. Several months would be the earliest 2.2 would come out if it is decided to even release another version before 3.0. It was about 2 years between 1.0.3 and 2.0 so something similar would not surprise me. Once lasconic puts his mind on the next version or bust, I don't think he's very likely to change his mind. He has allowed the 2.2 branch to be worked on, but there is no guarantee it will ever be released.

Well, perhaps in those 2 years I'll have completed all of the pieces in the set.

There are other solutions. For one, you could create the ossia as a graphic (which could be created using the Image Capture tool). Or you could cover the barline with a blank graphic (which could also be created using the Image Capture tool). So no reason to let this be the thing that prevents publication!

Well, the piece isn't done just yet, and I'm waiting for OpenScore to see if I can't get a free Pro account to publish more than 5. Any idea when OpenScore will start?
