Musescore 2.1
I don't like the way some of the percussion instruments (particularly the Battery Snare, Closed Hi-Hat, and Toms) sound in Musescore 2.1. Is there any way I can downgrade back to 2.0.3, or at least get rid of the clicking sound?

There are several sound fonts here https://musescore.org/en/handbook/soundfont#list along with instructions on using them. I like the GeneralUser GS.
Yes I agree with you!! Percussion playback sounds much horrible now!
Not only that, I'd like to point out that the sound of drum rolls (particularly snare, bass, and timpani) sound horrible compared to 2.0.3. Seriously, it turns my *nice* (I'm not bragging here!) scores into *amateur-ish* quality music...
The percussion sounds should be REVERTED!! Why should an update downgrade something...without telling anyone?
We NEED a 2.1.1 version!
Who needs to download soundfonts when the default 2.0.3 percussion soundfonts already sound so *professional quality* (again, I'm not bragging!)? BRING IT BACK!!!

Could be, but it sounds like people are describing something else aside from just a couple of drums not playing back at all.
If you are perceiving some probloem other than that, we would need a sample score and precise steps to reproduce the problem - eg, a score that just shows the sounds that seem to have downgraded. As far as I know, very little changed in the soundfont, so I'm surprised people are noticing any change whatsoever. If there are problems, we'd need them pointed out in more detail in order to address them.

Just a point about etiquette Merciless. Muse Score is a free program. You didn't pay anything for it. I agree, some of the midi sounds for the battery percussion with 2.0 don't playback as nicely as the previous version. However, yelling at the programers (ALL CAPS IS YELLING YOU KNOW!) is not the correct way to provide feedback. Also, demanding the programmers do something you want for a free program you paid nothing for is also not the best way to get what you want, especially when you were told they need someone to submit a score with a detailed explanation of what the issue is.
So, if you would like the programmers of this free program for which you paid nothing for, and for which they receive little to no compensation for working on, to improve the sound playback issue, I suggest you stop yelling at them, stop demanding of them, provide them with the information they told you they need to fix your problem, and if you really want to be crazy, you could thank them for their time and effort they put into this program and for looking into your issue. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
They seem more harder and accented...some songs it works well with, but for softer sounds it does ruin it. The toms really do make me made, but the closed high-hat was alright. I do wish there was a way to change them back, or at least have another option to change them for certain pieces. But I dunno if there is any at the current moment but I'm also kind of new.

Again, in order to investigate any changes, we'd need a sample score and precise steps to reproduce the problem - which notes to listen to. As mentioned before, there is a known issue with tenor drums, also a known problem that causes a digital glitch happens certain low-pitch sounds like the "bass synthesizer", but for the most part, sounds should be unchanged.

Hi Marc. Thanks for responding. I'll have a score for you in a week or two you can use. The issue, as I am hearing it, when scoring Battery percussion for a Drum Corps or marching band, in the previous version the buzz roll sounded like a buzz roll with a slight 16th pulse to it. Now it sounds like the 16ths are being smashed into the head and rather that getting something that approximates a buzz roll, you get 4 individual 16th notes, each of which has been buzzed. It's very harsh. Again, when I get my score done I'll send it in.
