Difficulty with selection (trying to merge two staves/instruments into one)
I'm trying to merge two staves (instruments) into one, by following this tutorial: http://musescore.org/en/node/12345
However, my score is several pages long, and I'm having trouble selecting the whole of the first stave, from all pages of the document: Ctrl+A selects ALL staves, and using Shift+click only for the first stave doesn't work, as in order to get to the last page I need to pan the document with the left mouse button, which loses the selection, and Shift+click fails to work.
I've also tried right-clicking in the first stave and using Select/More, but this only seems to select elements of a single type (Notes, Rests, Stems etc) rather than everything that there is on a stave.
Can anyone help? Many thakns in advance!

Still, it would be good to be able to pan the document left/right without losing the already-made selection. I might just want to select a portion of the top stave that spans from e.g. page 2 to page 5 of the document, and panning from where you want to start the selection to where you want it to end apparently cannot be done without losing the selection itself!

You can pan with the scroll wheel of your mouse, vertically. And Shift + Scroll wheel, horizontally. It probably also works in your favorite browser, word processor etc...

Is there a chance a MS add-on will be made available that merges several tracks into one? I've encountered many MIDIs where the notes are split up on several staves and i'd just need them on a single stave (track), and being able to automate this would be really nice :)

Does the Explode/Implode plugin help?

I guess it gets pretty close, although not quite what I needed, as individual staves may have more than one note at a time. Anyway, not that hard to do it manually I guess
