Re engraving of the first prelude by Debussy.

• Apr 18, 2013 - 16:36

A complicated score which took a long time to produce. I tried to do it as close as I could to the first edition.
The broken beams can be done by using different vioces for the right and left notes and then using some hiding and moving of notes with dubble click note, ctrl+arrow keys.

I fixed the velocity of the invisible notes and the appearance of the time signature between brackets. I also posted the score on my account on http://musescore.com and credited you. The score is now in a set with 3 other préludes http://musescore.com/nicolas/sets/101603 and I created a group you can join to gather the full book if more people wants to contribute: http://musescore.com/groups/debussy-preludes A 1/3 of Book I is already done :) Let a message here if you want to participate: http://musescore.com/groups/debussy-preludes/discuss/101613

@semicroma I hope it's ok for me to post your work there, let me know otherwise!

You've transcribed very well. I wonder if it's worth someone re-re-engraving this one, though, to make it easier to follow (I mean that the original seems a bit messy, at least to me)? Whilst we're on the subject of Debussy Preludes, attached is my effort for the 1st Movt. of Suite Bergamasque. There are almost certainly errors.
