How to convert music to a new time signature
I have a substantial score in 4/4. I would like to change it to 2/4 by halving all the rhythm
(for example, a 4/4 measure with four quarter notes would become a 2/4 measure with 4 eighth notes).
Is there a way to do this without having to re-notate the entire score?
Thanks,
Ben

You can create a new score in 2/4 time. Then copy the notes from the original score in 4/4 time and paste into the new score.

This did not work for what I asked. This maintained the rhythmic duration of each note and simply spread them out over more measures. Is there any way to halve the rhythm en masse? (i.e., change quarters to eighths as you copy it into a new score with a different time signature?)

Sorry, I miss-understood. It is not possible to halve the rhythm en masse.
