Should each drum in a drumset have its own entry in Mixer?
I'm not sure, but I wonder if perhaps each drum in a drumset should have its own entry in Mixer.
What do others think?

That would make the Mixer window huge, so maybe there's a better way of actually implementing this. Plus it's really a totally different thing from how the rest of the mixer tracks work - they all control separate channels, whereas you are basically proposing individual mixer settings for each pitch in a single channel. But I agree the functionality would be nice.

Mainly because it would not be implementable.
The mixer works on the MIDI volume controller - 7 which affects the whole drum channel
The volume of individual drums within a drumkit is controlled either by NRPNs (Roland GS) or SysEX (Yamaha XG)
Within the GM framework itself there is no way to control volume of individual drums within a kit.
