Can we set 3/2 as time signature

• Jun 8, 2017 - 13:09

In the handbook it describes adding a custom time signature to the palette.
Is this the only mean to get 3/2 ?
I have an existing score in 3/4 and want to set to 3/2 but can't find a wayto do it by edit element or tim esignature properties.

Yes but this is just my question: is it possible to simply edit the properties of the time signature in the score to set 3/2 or do we really need to add a custom own element to the palette just to be able to make a score in 3/2 ?
(In the wizard to create a new score one doesn't need its own element; selecting 3/2 is easy)

As mentioned, you can't turn one time signature into another just by editing its properties.

However, you don't need to actually create a custom palette if you'd rather not. Simply press Shift+T to display the "Time Signatures" section of the master palette and create the time signature there. It will remain there for future use even without actually creating a custom palette and adding it there.

If you want it to appear in the palette, then you *do* need to go through the "custom palette" procedure (which only takes about 10 seconds). But you seemed to not want to got that route for whatever reason, so I was showing you another way that doesn't require it. You can just access the 3/2 directly from the master palette via Shift+T if you'd rather not create a custom palette.

Now that I have tasted it, I want more of course ;-)

So the question is: I don't find in the preferences the way to define a shortcut to make the fingering master palette appear, does it exist? Or do I need to introduce a feature request?

And, why in shortcuts definition shift-T is called "Show time signature palette" and not "Show time signature master palette"?
