Show shortkey indications on note bar
Musescore has a fantastic feature for users to switch around notes for input (i.e. 4=eighth note, 5=quater note, etc.). The hotkey is displayed when we hover the mouse over the button on the note bar.
I wonder if the dev team would consider adding a feature which allow the hover-to-show message to be always displayed along with the note bar, so that for less skilled users - like me - to be able to switch between notes for input more accurately and efficiently without tapping around the ten-key pad just to "guess" which one is which - because it's just difficult to remember what number associates to which note.

If you're the admin/moderator of this forum, I'm more happy to see this is closed and not to confuse the team any further.
Plus, I'd pitch in an idea to this feature request, that besides showing the short key, the assignment of short keys might as a function of the time signature.
For example, for any /4 time signature, key 5 = quarter note, /8 time signature, key 5 = eighth note. This way the ten-key pad might be a little bit more intuitive for the users as the center key (5) represents the "base" note of the time signature. Number above 5 is a longer note, below is a shorter note with respect to the time signature.
That being said, some might think for those who don't rely or have the ten-key pad can't take this advantage, and programming-wise this is troublesome as when the user changes the time signature at the middle of his editing, then the representation of the shortkey's note will need to be updated. And even worse, what if the sheet has multiple time signature - does the shortkey's representation changes depending on where the user is editing?

I dug two old images created by contributors and I got an idea (temporary workaround): Prepare some post it to apply on the numeric keypad

The 0 key could use the rest icon, the + key might use the tie icon ;-)

hmm, OK. then a flat Icon for the - key (is that the default?) and a grace note (Acciaccatura) for the division key
