Stem disappears when layered note is moved an octave by ctrl+up

When inserting two notes at the same place, for instance A and G by holding shift, then moving one of them upwards one octave by ctrl+up, the stem of the moved note disappears. A simple workaround is to select the bad note, move it one stem upwards and one step downwards and the stem is back. Reproducible steps:

  1. create a new sheet with one staff
  2. press N to insert new notes
  3. press A to insert an A note
  4. press shift+G to insert an G note to form a chord with the A
  5. press ctrl+up to move the G one octave upwards
  6. the stem for the G note disappears

Please note that this seems not to happen if G is inserted first followed by A. Maybe the note must pass by the other note for the effect to happen?

Additional info:

Trying to attach an arpeggio to such a chord ends up yielding incorrect results as well. Example:

This chord was created as C G E Ctrl+Up. The stem was incorrect after the Ctrl+Up. The image above was the result of adding an arpeggio.

Selecting the whole chord and pressing Down and then Up fixes both problems.
