different key signature for part of score

How do I change Key signature for some
contiguous measures in the middle of the score?

Just drag the new key sig from the Palette onto the first measure of that section and the orig. sig on the one after the last

Thanks. OK I'm back.
The first part of the score is in "one flat" and I want to
change to key of C with no flats or sharps.
I tried your suggestion changing to two flats, so
I know it works, but the reader will not know there
is a change after I drag the signature with no
flats or sharps.
The piece I am copying from puts a natural sign at
the B-flat line, but I couldn't figure out how to do that.

Did you try it? You should find MuseScore inserts naturals for you.

I searched the manual and didn't find it.
Seems to need a note to attach an accidental natural,
not a lone natural a chosen place.

just drag the Cmajor sig from the pallete into some measure of your score. It will cancel any sharps or flats on the keysig valid for the measures before that.

I did that early-on, but
the person reading the score won't
know of the cancellation.

Yes it would, throug the naturals.
See attached, score starts in A Major (3 sharps) and turns into C Major in measure 9, indicated by 3 naturals.
Changing that A Major into something else and the naturals in measure 9 will adjust automagically

Thanks,
I discovered my error in dragging the C major.
I didn't know the whole measure had to get dark at drop time.
This time the B flat signature changed to B natural signature.
