Small noteheads not centred in chord

• Sep 25, 2013 - 22:07

1. Open attached score (produced in 1.3).
2. Click on crotchet.
3. 'View'>'Inspector'.
4. Tick 'Small' in the 'Note' section.

Expected result: The notehead is centred.

Actual result: Neither the stem or notehead move.

Discussion: I just want to ask whether this is a bug before possibly filing it.

I've encountered this a few times, so I don't know if it's a special case? It might just depend on the genre.

Anyway, I found a published example of small and normal noteheads. The score's normal noteheads are centred.

It would suggest my proposed expected behaviour is correct. I could be wrong (sometimes it's difficult to judge), but it seems if, on the same stave there's a normal notehead in a voice and small notes only in another, the latter are centre-aligned.

The only exception is if small and normal noteheads are black, without augmentation dots and share the same note:

I was thinking about instances of small notes only on a stave centre-aligning with the normal noteheads in another stave, but the first image (and a number of others in the book) don't suggest this. I'm not sure I'm convinced though.
