Discussion: Whilst acceptable on a pitched stave, I don't think this should happen on a tablature stave. However, before possibly filing in the tracker, I'd like advice from those more familiar with conventions, incase there is perhaps something acceptable happening.

If it is improper behaviour, what should happen?

I think this is something that is down to the user to police.

If you remove the possibility of glissandi between tab lines, then it will cause initial problems with the generation of a linked TAB staff from a standard staff, as glissandi will disappear which will then have to be replaced once the string position of the note has been rectified.

It is pretty obvious that a stringed instrument can't glissando between strings, so it is up to the user to change the string that note is played on.
