Editing a note's length

I've just started using Musescore three days ago, so this question may have been asked before, but I didn't find it in searching help.

After I've entered some notes into several measures, is there a way to change (edit) an existing note in one of the previous measures, other than deleting the note and entering it again? I would think that selecting the note, then the note length (half-note, whole note, etc.) and maybe double-clicking or similar, without having to go in and out of edit mode. Just a thought.
