hiding empty staves in an orchestral score

• Nov 28, 2013 - 07:30

Hi!

I have a little problem with my current score. I found how to hide empty staves, and it would save a lot of space and paper, but I there are two issues:

In an orchestral score all instruments should be displayed on the first page, and empty staves should be hidden only later on. However, Musescore hides empty staves on the first page as well. Is there a way to go around this?

The other issue is that in a score there should be marks for when the system changes, if all instruments are not included and there are multiple systems on the same page. Usually they are these slash-like marks between the systems. I can't find this kind of symbols anywhere in musescore. Any way to go around this too?

Thanks!

The next version will make this possible and even have it as the default.
in 1.x you could resort to a workaround: invisible and silent (velocity 0) notes
