changing instrument on stave
is it possible to change the instrument used on one stave after the music has been saved. eg my treble line is currently set for strings and I want to change it to piano. Can I do this or do I have to re-write the whole piece?

You can change it. right click on an empty part of the measure and select staff properties. Above the instrument name boxes is a button that says change instrument. When you change the instrument only one staff will be present.
