Hungarian translation

• Jan 25, 2014 - 11:57

Hi everyone,

Somehow I totally missed the transition to the new Transifex site so the Hungarian translation is a bit outdated/incomplete, but I will try to do my best to update/finish it in the coming weeks (and the handbook too).

One thing that surprises me is the amount of untranslated strings: it shows that out of 3350 strings, 2792 are untranslated. I assume that the previous translations were imported, but now even basic expressions like note names and lengths are missing (though they are present in the suggestion list) - is this the result of changed contexts?

Another question: I've been translating MuseScore for years and I always keep an eye on the translations forum, but now the new 2.0 process took me be surprise. Now I found a relevant thread, but it's in the Technology Preview forum. Is there any other resource I should follow to keep being up-to-date with the translation status? (IIRC, in the past, sometimes we got an e-mail alert when translations were requested for a new release or a tutorial...)

I guess you're right with assuming that the change of context might have lost a lot of older already translation strings.
And I believe a notification to translators hasn't yet been sent because 2.0 still isn't near enough to be released?
That shouldn't keep you from doing it now, but there are still changes to be expected, although I don't think that there will be a lot of them.
