What you see are endnotes trill. To achieve this with MuseScore see the attached picture.

NOT FOUND: 1

Shaded Notes are rendered invisible only those that characterize the end of trill are visible.

It's not quite true that those notes grace notes have no "host". They actually have two different "hosts" - the note that starts the trill, and the note that it resolves to in the next measure. You've seen a couple of methods of achieving this effect described here, but what I'd most likely do is attach these grace notes to the note in the next measure then move them over the bar line by double clicking and using the arrow keys. Unfortunately, that won't work if the next measure is on another line. In that case, I'd attach them to the note that starts the trill and move them to the right.

Well, that's the MuseScore 2.0 name for the feature that would be used to implement this, if it is in fact implemented (right now, the icon that would eventually do this just adds a normal grace note before). But "grace note after" isn't really a musical term. "Trill ending" would be a decent term for this particular use of that device. Sometimes these are referred to as "turns" although of course there is an entirely different symbol and device that also bears that name. There are other situations where the "grace after note" device might also come in handy - escape tone figures, etc - but trill endings probably make the bulk of the cases.

Whatever you call them - grace notes, end notes, end-of-trill etc. - MuseScore doesn't (yet) implement them. For a reasonable appearance I suggest creating a second Voice and using it only for those notes. If you want accurate playback as well, then you're on your own (it can be done as seen above but involves lots of hidden notes, adjusting stretch etc.).
