How can I stop the extra sound when i release the key on my midi keyboard?
I got musescore up and running on the macbook air, and yamaha keyboard works to input notes to musescore through a roland um-1 interface. Sweet, but when I let my key up (whether in note input mode or not) there's a sound, atonal, like a drum or something. Anybody know what causes this or how I can turn it off? It's annoying.

Sounds like your keyboard must be sending an extra MIDI message besides the normal note off message. You'll have to consult the documentation for your keyboard to learn how to disable that.
