Is it possible to have second voice softer/in background?

I am totally new to musescore but am finding it very good!
Is it possible to have a "second" voice played softer or more in the background? I am doing a duet and would preferably like to have the main voice louder than the second voice for rehearsal.

The main voice I entered in Voice 1 and the second one in Voice 2. I thought of selecting the second voice to make it softer, in vain.

Having looked like what seems everywhere, I do not seem to find an answer to this. It is not to silent the second voice/note but to background it.

Thank you very much in advance.

Thank you for your reply. I looked at the link but it is all Chinese to me I am afraid.
When you say "change the velocity"; what to. If I set it to 1 it mutes totally. Is there not a way to select voice 2 notes and put the volume down just for that voice? Sorry, but obviously I need a bit more in depth understanding here ... Thanks.

You will need to know what the velocity of the notes already are since they will show as zero velocity (which means no change). To find this, you can click the dynamic marking to view the velocity.

To select voice 2 notes, right click a note in voice to then chose select>more... then check in the same voice. This will select every note in voice 2. If you need to do a section at a time, then select several measures right click more... and check in selection and in same voice. You can then change the velocity appropriately. For example, dynamic of p is velocity of 49. Make the voice 2 velocities something smaller like 40 and play with the numbers until you're happy with it.

I have now added a second instrument and with the mixer selected a softer output. That seems to work for me. Thank you.
