regrouping notes
Please can someone tell me how to regroup notes. At the moment. notes are grouped across a beat. Also I can't see how to get back to the screen where I can alter the score properties (have a pickup bar) although it says I can change properties after I have started a score....sorry to be thick!! Thanks

To regroup properties you can do one of two things:

This allows you to create a time signature (even one with the same numbers that already exist)
Or right click the time signature on a staff, select Time Signature properties and adjust the grouping. This only works on one staff at a time.
To add a pickup measure to an existing score, select the first measure (all of it) and press insert. This will put an empty measure before it. Right click the empty measure and select measure properties. In the new window change the actual duration to what you need.
If the grouping is because you did not enter a pickup measure, you need to add the pickup measure as above. Then select all of the measures with notes, CUT them and paste them into the pickup measure (the beam groupings will adjust automatically).
Time Signature Properties lets you customize the default beaming for a given time signature, also see the Beams palette for overrides for individual notes.
