Small notes
I am in the process of making fair copies of handwritten music composed by the organist at my church.
In the congregational copy, which only has the melody line, he has included the tune of the organ introduction in smaller notes to indicate that these are not to be sung.
I've seen this method in print before; can it be done using Muse Score?

Yes, it can. Enter them, maybe in a different voice, and make them small via Inspector

As simple as that! Thanks :-)
Now I just need to remember how to hide the rests it puts in in the other voice.

Ah! Now I have it - the notes can be written in the same voice, and selected notes can be made small using Inspector.
Case solved!
Thanks for your help.

If you are using cue notes, it is normal to keep the rests on the score in voice 1 to help clarify that there is actually are rest for the singer. MuseScore will move the rests toward the top of the staff which is normal.
