Also note that you should always start with entering notes in voice 1 on each staff. So adding Tenor and Bass on a 2nd staff would then use voices 1 & 2 on that particular staff.

Don't confuse this with singing voices. ANY staff can have up to 4 voices on it, not only vocals.
