Dynamics in vocals
At some point I found instructions in the forum or handbook on how to make dynamics appear above rather than below the staff in vocal parts, but I forget now how to do it and can't find the instructions again with a search. Could someone please point me to them, or restate how to do it?

adjust the offset style->text...->dynamics
Or select a dynamic, right click->select->select all similar (in the same staff) and adjust the offset in the inspector.
You need to right click a dynamic and chose select>all similar items in the staff. You can then look in the inspector and change the vertical offset to some thing like -10 or -9 so they will appear above the staff. This of course means it is best to enter all of your dynamics before adjusting them. Newly entered dynamics will have to be adjusted.
If your score is only vocal, then you can right click any dynamic and chose Text Style... and change the vertical to something like -1 or -2. This will make it so all dynamic entered later will be in that position.
Edit: This take you the same place as gong through the Style->text... menu
