To do this, you would need to make the note you want before the first ending in the first ending and repeat the measure in the second ending unless you want the second ending to be different.
This is only possible with a workaround:
Add a grace note before the first note of the second Volta with the same pitch an add a tie. Deselect for the grace note "visible" and "play" in the inspector.

Thank you Kuitt for your reply. How do you, "Deselect for the grace note "visible","? I could get it to work so that the play back is OK but the notation does not look right.

Select the grace note(s) and then in Inspector untick the boxes for Visible and Play. You prpbably need to select the grace notes' stems and flags too and make them invisible the same way

So that's look ans sound in a similar way as in the attached file.

Looks and sounds right but how do you do the deselect visible?

select the element and then in the Inspector untick the box at "Visible", or hit V

Thank you ojo this worked fine. I will use this on an upload I will do tonight. The name of the piece is, Rantakoivun alla" a Finnish waltz
