Is it possible to have a horizontal scroll option to this view

Use shift+mouse-wheel.
Left click on any blank area and drag. (Free Scrolling)
Use Page-Up / Page-Down keys on your keyboard. (Page by Page)
Click on a note or rest and use left/right arrow keys on your keyboard. (Note by note).

Regarding 4), also Ctrl+left/right to move measure by measure. But #1 and #3 are really the primary ways of scrolling in MuseScore (and many other programs).
