Override note duration stems?
In the attached the quarter notes in the second voice are strictly speaking wrong. Respecting the initial 32nd rest there is only room for a double dotted 8th. But if I do that (and hide the double dotted 8th) I get an 8th note stem, which does not look 'right'. 
Is there (should there be) any way to override the duration stem?

Alternatively, just use Inspector to “Horizontal Offset” about 2.25

?? This does not work for me.
I assume you mean: enter a quarter note at beat1 & move it over with the inspector. If I try that the note moves but the stem stays behind NOT FOUND: test.jpg
