Instrument Change
Hey, I'm pretty new to Musescore and its music software. I'm not sure how to change the instrument in a piece. I have a piece based on Under the Sea. It contains three piano parts; a melody, a countermelody, and a bass. I want to change the melody part of the piece into a saxophone. I read somewhere that you can change the "mid staff," but I'm not sure if that is it. Thanks!

or you can add the instrument (press' I') and then hide the empty staves.
If you mean that you currently have the melody part being played by some other instrument and now you want it to be played by a saxophone, and you want that to happen for the entire duration of the piece, then right click the staff, Staff Properties / Change Instrument, and pick the instrument from the list. The mid-staff change is if you want the musican to start out playing some other instrument then switch to saxophone part way through the piece.
