I guess there is no measure following the DS then? I'd try adding one and making it invisible via Measure Properties. You could then add a line break or horizontal frame to force the courtesy to display. You might have to experiment a bit to get it right. If you have trouble, attach your score and someone can probably help.

Hi Marc, the courtesy key should therefore appear under the 'Segno'?
And to influence repetition?
