It's a good idea, I like it. I might also suggest triple click could select a whole line - it does that in some other programs. Although since we don't use double click to select a measure (or "word"), maybe that doesn't really make sense.

Perhaps double click a measure to select the current system's measures for that staff triple click for who staff?

The use case I am trying to solve here is the ability to select just a voice out of a stave and copy it to another staff. Sort of a manual "explode" capability.
It would be useful to select x number of bars for this also. The rt click suggestion - with choices.

If I understand right that possibility is included in the Select>More... speed menu.

I don't understand "speed Menu" but if I select a note in a choud, rt click >select>in same voice, it selects them, but I cannot copy that voice (which is selected) into another voice.

The box that pops up is called the speed menu. You are correct that you cannot copy individual notes that are selected using this method . You must use the filter selector (F6) and leave checked the voice(s) you want to copy. Everything else can and probably should usually stay checked.
