Octave Line doesn't work
Hi, I am brand new to MuseScore and I have an issue. Whenever I place an octave line, it plays one octave up for the first measure, then normal for the second, and so on. Is it user error or a bug? Any help would be appreciated.

Be sure that the octave line includes all measures, which should played in another octave. For example select the first measure via mouse click, the last measure via shift+mouse click and insert the octave line. Or insert an octave line, double click on it and extend it via ctrl+shift+arrow right (or shift+arrow right if it doesn't include a full measure).

Sounds like you tried extending the octave line by simply dragging it with the mouse. That won't work - it is just for fine-tuning the appearance only. Use one of the techniques described above instead. See the Handbook under "Lines" for more info.
