Without knowing more about what you are trying to do it is difficult to answer - it would help if you attached your score and described your problem in more detail. In general, though, if by "pause" you mean a fermata, you move it by dragging it, using the Inspector, or double-click and arrow keys, same as for most other score elements added from the palette. If by "pause" you mean a rest, then the question becomes, what do you mean by "move"? If you mean make a slight adjustment to the vertical position of the rest in order to avoid some note in another voice, then the arrow keys do that. If you mean, move them from one beat to another, you could do that the same way you move notes - using cut and paste. But really, if you want silence somewhere in your piece where there is currently not silence, there is not currently silence, instead of moving rests there, much easier to simply delete the notes that are there currently.
