Swapping a rest for a note
How do you take out the last rest in a measure and swap in a note? I haven't been able to figure this out, and can't find anything in the tutorials that tell you how to do it.

Click on the rest, press' N' and enter the note?

Thanks - for some reason, that wasn't working for me. I'm afraid I'm used to Sibelius and I keep slipping back into it.
In general, all note entry everything in MuseScore works by replacing/overwriting what is already there. So there is no separate "take out the last rest" step - you simply place the desired note directly on top of the rest.

Thanks, got it!

Is there a way to do that in batch? For example, I select all the rests from measure x to measure y, and replace them all with a specified note.
Thanks
Edit. I tinkered with this all day, and just after posting this I found how to do it: copy any note, select all rests, and paste.
