Lining Up Chord Symbols above top stave of system
For a vocal-piano score where I haven't filled in all the notes in the piano staves, I want to put chord symbols above the vocal line (where they typically appear in sheet music). If there isn't a note that aligns with the beat I want in the vocal line, I've been clicking on a note in the piano score, which causes the chord simple to appear above that stave it's in (i.e. in the middle of the score). I then drag the chord symbol up above the top stave. I'm not very good at aligning the Chord symbols by eyeball; on some of the systems, the chord symbols look as though I was bit tipsy when I entered them [g].
Is there any parameter that I could have used before to tell MuseScore "please align all chord symbols here". Alternatively, is there any way after the fact to get all the chord symbols in a system lined up on the same horizontal base?
It's not a huge problem. The score is usable as it is. However, the output from MuseScore looks so clean and professional, I hate to mess it up because of my fumble-fingered data entry.

Perhaps knowing that ; will move the cursor forward a beat for chord symbol entry and : will move it back a beat would help. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/chord-symbols#commands
Right-click->Select->>More->All similar elements;
F8 (open Inspector) adjust the offset

In addition to ; which moves the chord symbol cursor by beat, there is also Space, which moves by either beat or next note. So there should never be a need to attach chords to the piano staff just because there is no note in the vocal staff. But if for whatever reason you do ever want to move things, dragging is never the efficient / precise way of doing it. Instead, see the Inspector. You can select a whole of group of chords and adjust their vertical offset together, then apply the same offset later to other chords, etc.
