How to spread only selected staffs vertically on a page.

I have some large jumps between notes from below the staff to above the staff for several staffs on a page. How do I open up the separation between just a selected few staffs on a page? Can this be done?

To jeetee: Using the Staff Spacer Down tool seems like it would be the method to use for what I'm trying to accomplish. So, I tried it per the instructions. I selected all the measures in the staff line and double clicked the tool, which inserted Spacer Down icons under each measure. Nothing happened. Next, I elongated the arrows to see what that would do. The space between the two staffs on which I was focusing did not open up. I also tried to use Ctrl and arrow keys to move the staff downward. I even tried selecting only one measure on the staff and repeated the processes I described above. Still no movement of the selected staff. What am I missing?

Note you shouldn't be attaching spacers to all measures on a system - just one suffices.

Staff spacer down does what the name suggests it increases the space below that staff. Not sure what you were trying to accomplish doing that on the last staff of the page 0 there was nothing below it to need to increase space for. Would be been better to add more space above that system, or below the system above. Or, since everything is really crowded, and you say you want it to fit on one page, just reduce the overall scaling in Layout / Page Settings.
