Recent posts/Issue tracker
Could we separate 'recent posts/Issue trackers' in the Support menu?
Have two separate pages, one for forum posts and one for Issue tracker to follow more easily either category. Or have 'Recent posts' limited to the Forum.
In the 'Activity' menu this works for the Issue trackers...

I would rather opt for adding a filter to recent posts. Additionally, we could add a filter as well for language, which would allow you as well to select all the languages for which you like to see the recent posts. What do you think?

YES, having to follow just one tracker should ease thing for me (but extra care is needed to not reply in the wrong language)
I sure would want to keep forum and issues in the tracker (AKA recent posts).

Glad you like it. Yet, I believe we can/should further extend the language filter to allow the selection of multiple languages. So then you only need to set this once, for all the languages you like to follow, and when you return to the tracker, it will remember this filter. What do you think?

I hope it is not too complicated. So a customization feature like 'remember my preferences'?

The filter is already remembered actually. So no checkbox. It's by default. That said, this is only the case when you are signed in.

For now, a click on recent posts takes me back to the English page
But I guess it will soon be fully operational.
Edit: Maybe it depends on the fact that I use different Tabs and the system gets confused

yep, some multi-select is needed, I have no use for Italian, French, Spanish, Dutch, etc. topics, just English and German would be what I need. The current setup is even worse than before, I can't have an English and a German tracker open and refresh either to see updates, as they now revert to whatever filter settings had been applied last

@Jojo the languages filter allows now multiple languages selection. So that should sort things out now, hopefully. Keep me posted.

with nothing selected, you can simply change the suffix (en/it/de/fr)

Looks good so far!

Not serious but it seems to me that the mechanism is faulty.
I often open two tabs, the English and the Italian forums. As mentioned above, I usually double-click and edit e.g. en in it to reach the other side of the pond. In this way I can go from one side to the other.
But if I use filters the two tabs end up leading to the same page.
From https://musescore.org/it/tracker I can select 'All Types' and 'Italian' but if I move on to the
(https://musescore.org/en/tracker) I get the italian page and viceversa
Deleting the history does not resolve. I have to restart (on Mint and FF61)

The way you described it is actually by design. When you set the filter, it's stored in a cookie. And it's using the same cookie content for any /iso-code/tracker
Since I understand there might be some confusion, I could use a different cookie name for each /iso-code/tracker page. Is this something that would make sense?

Considering that I can use my method and that I don't see too many comments for or against functionality the problem doesn't seem urgent to me.
If there is a way to 'confine' changes into the page of a given language we can see how it is greeted.
I wonder why an old way of saying comes to mind 'The best is the enemy of the good'

Hi Shoichi, your proposal has been deployed. Let me know how it goes for you.

FWIW, I virtually never use the "Recent Posts" feature, so it's kind of a non-issue for me. But one thing I liked about the original proposal that I don't see currently is the idea of moving "Issue tracker" from the "Activity" menu to the "Support" menu.

Hi Marc, sorry I overlooked that idea of moving the issue tracker. I don't dislike the idea to tbh. But rather than moving, I would add issue tracker under support as well, just like forum.
Fwiw I use /tracker all the time. It's my start of checking out what has been posted/updated. I guess everyone has his own reasons to be on MuseScore.org and therefore his/her own workflow.

Sure, having both forum and issue tracker in both menus makes sense.

@Thomas, I just got back, it seems to me that it works (according to my expectations). Thx
@Jojo, that's one of the ways of saying with which I have been grown.
Best regards.
