Classical Guitar D2
Hi,
Is there any way to get TABs to respond correctly with a low D tuning (D2). It does not seem to want to place the low G on fret 5 when I write it on the treble clef, as with all the other notes except the low D (D2) itself.
Thanks,
Jim

You most probably need to edit string data for this, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/tablature#change-tuning
If you did edit the string data to drop D tuning it sounds like you may have checked the open string option in the string data (probably thinking that was necessary to edit the E2 string).
Ok, I did all this, but the notes on the 6th string still will not show in TABs, such as G2 on the 5th fret

You need to attach your score and tell where the problem is.
The problem shows up on measure 7, line two, G2 does not show in TABs. As you can also see, I am having some trouble placing a half rest before the quart rest in the first measure, I wish there was a way to simply have no rest for the first measure.

The score, the .mscz file, not a picture (and a .pdf file is not much more that a picture, a vectorized one in thisi case)

Thanks but, G2 still shows up on fret 3, not fret 5 and I see no way to change it.
Sorry, here it is

You marked the (dropped) D string as being unfretted.
See:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/tablature#mark-string-open
Also, for the pickup measure (1 beat), see:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/measure-operations#duration
