recording
can musescore record from an audio input? because i tried to import a pdf. (see this post https://musescore.org/en/node/271992 ) and using that while it came close it's not perfect and I have ZERO grasp of how to modify things in this program. but if instead I could record by sound, i could take a video and play it to plot out the notes.

No. You can't unscramble an egg, at least MuseScore can't

already has the notes plotted.
Print out the pdf, set it on your music stand, and play from that.

also i'm not yet trying to play it myself, i'm trying to get it into another program that needs a midi to work.
