blue note following my mouse cursor around.
Just learning - I pressed something and now I have a blue note following my mouse cursor around. Can you tell me how I might get rid of it?
Thank you

You're in Note Input Mode. Press N to toggle it off/on/of...), Esc to get out

How to get rid of that blue ghost note? How to remove it? It always comes back.

The handbook says that you enter note input mode by either pressin "N" on your keyboard or pressing the "N" icon on the toolbar. In addition to this (and this is not very clearly mentioned in the handbook) you can enter note input mode by just pressing one of the keyboard keys with note names, A, B, C, D, E, F, G.
That might be what is happening to you?

You can't get rid of it, AFAIK. If you need to use the mouse for something other than selections in the tool bar or entering notes, then you need to exit Note Input mode.

The ghost note is only present while in note input and while moving the mouse. So, either don't enter note input mode if you don't intend to enter notes, or don't use the mouse if you intend to enter the notes with the keyboard only. For instance, pressing "N" puts you in note input mode without the note cursor.
