Crescendos affect whole staff?
Do crescendos and decrescendos affect the whole staff if placed? For example, I place one under a grand staff for a piano. Will it affect both the treble and bass clef voices, or only the voice it is tied to? Any help is appreciated.

By default a crescendo affects the entire part. On an instrument like the piano that uses a grand staff it affects both. This can be changed in the inspector by changing the Dynamic range to system or staff.
