update to 2.3.2 msi problem

• Aug 2, 2018 - 00:52

Trying to update from 2.2.1 to 2.3.2 msi on windows 10. The update results in message that msi 2.2.1 cannot
(see snipped file capture.jpg) be found. Why is it asking for a previous version in a location where I just downloaded the MSI for version 2.3.2
The version 2.2.1 is installed and working fine.
I download the MSI from the Musescore website.

Try uninstalling 2.2.1 first. Or try installing it again, you can get it via the download page, further down, Older versions, for all platforms

JoJo's reply is right. Is in unrelated to the browser used to download the file. The simple matter is that the new version fails to uninstall the (working) older version . It insist on finding the old 2.1.1 MSI to uninstall that one , before it can install a new version. Its a bit strange that it wants the older MSI (which I had deleted after using it in the past). I just re-dowloaded the old MSI (without using it) and then all worked OK.

Thanks. Issue Closed
