Excessive RAM usage at startup
Sir, since the recent update to version 2.3.2, there has been a significant difference in the initiation of musescore.
My system has a 2GB RAM and the memory consumption exceeds 1.3 GB at runtime, CPU usage 50% (Intel Pentium B950 @ 2.10 GHz) and won't startup until several minutes.
However, after startup, the program stabilizes at approx. 65 MB.

So you have the MDL (Musescore DrumLine) extension installed?
What version of MuseScore had you installed before?

Yes sir, I have the MDL extension in this version.
The previous version was 2.2.1

So that certainly is the reason, the Sfz Soundfonts that come with MDL are known to cause a huge startup delay

Yes, the MDL extension was certainly the cause. I disabled it and now its running as normal.
The attachment below shows how I did.
Edit >> Preferences
Under the general tab, just emptied the path and there is the startup fix.
To bring back the setting, I just need to reset preferences

40 seconds are unlikely MDL to cause this, that would cause a longer delay.

My system has 16GB Ram.

I imagine faster machine than mine might be able to load the MDL soundfonts in only 40 seconds. Anyhow, if the slow startup is a concert, removing those soundfonts should address it. Then you can write your music just fine even if it won't playback correctly. Add the soundfonts back (and wait the 40 seconds) when you need to hear the final playback.
