Add another line/staff in the middle of a tune
In copying a simple Irish traditional tune )single voice from a handwritten score into MuseScore, I left out one line of the tune right in the middle. How can I add this extra line so I can enter that part of the tune?

Select the measure after the missing part and insert the necessary measures: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/measure-operations#insert
If you mean that you skipped several measures then use ctrl+insert (see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/measure-operations#insert on Mac) to insert the number of measures you need.
