grace note issue
I'm trying to add an Ab grace note to bar 1 of attached, but what happens is that the first beat gets selected and bar 2 results. I think I'm doing this right, but may be user error or a glitch. in either case "?"

You don't add grace noted to bars (or measures, outside the UK), but to notes. So select the note you want to attach the grace note too, double click the grace notee, move to desired pitch, optionally add slur

I think I get this. the issue is that I want to add a note to the grace note I've already created (i.e. make a GN 'chord' of Bb/Ab that is attached to the two pitches following). the file I've already attached shows what happens when I try. so I don't know if you might try doing what I'm trying to do and see what happens and let me know? thanks.

select the grace note, type Shift+A, move down an octave and a semitone

thanks - that works in terms of the notation but now an issue in the playback where the chord following the GNs are somehow muted (the durations seem to be drastically attenuated, as if all played as GNs?).

Also with my no corrected instructions (Shift+A)?
BTW: you shouldn't be using voice 3 in the bass clef, every staff has (up to) 4 voices and all should start at 1, savers you from having to hide voice 1 rests.

thanks Jojo, good tip. I've re-written this bit now, so don't need the grace notes : )
